Q: What is the immersive virtual tour proposed by 3Dhome-visit ?
Our Virtual Tours are three-dimensional representations of a real-world location created from 2D images. A space can be navigated on a desktop, mobile device, or even with virtual reality goggles (ie. Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, or Google Daydream). it is a 3D media ecosystem that can be used for many different purposes – properties, resorts or venus marketing, construction, facilities management, and news/entertainment or virtual even off-site formations.
Q: Can exteriors be included in the virtual tour?
Yes! However, 3D Virtual Tours are best suited for interiors. The camera using infraRed technics to be able to recreated the property in 3D, the lens can be disturbed by too strong sun lights, and create 3D misalignment during the digitizing. To avoid this problem, we will scheduled together the time of the shooting on-site by considering the most suited time of the day for a perfect rendering.
Q: How long does it take to digitizing my place?
Once our 3D modelization Specialist is on-site, it typically takes an afternoon to scan a villa in its whole. Regarding hotels, restaurants or beach-clubs, the time dedicated on-site may vary regarding the size of the place. (Count approximately one full day or, two half-days if the sun light and exposure of the venue impose us to do it in two shoots)
Q: When will your 3D Virtual Tour be ready ?
When our Specialist will have finished digitizing the property, the 3D modelization process takes 24-48 hours. Once it’s finished processing we will notify you shortly after. In addition, you will have to consider another half-day of work to proceed to post production job (Photographies export, floor plans edition, automatic visit creation, and all annotations or hyperlinks we will have defined together prior the shooting and that you will want to include within your virtual visit)
Q: What do I need to do before my appointment?
You don’t need to provide us with anything to scan the property. All we require from you is to sign our “3Dhome-visit Services Agreement Contract” that way both parties are protected. In the services contract it will explain that you must have the space in a condition suitable for scanning (a clean and tidied place) before our 3D Specialist arrives. Please provide us with instructions for how to access the property if no one is on-site during the scheduled date.
NB : it is important that the venue will be prepared before the shooting, although, as professionals, they will take care of last details to make the 3D rendering perfect, this is not the job of our specialists to clean and organize the venue.
Q: What do I need to do during the appointment?
You are not required to be on-site when we are scanning the space. It can take up to a several hours depending on the size of the venue.
If staff and animals are on-site, it is even important to avoid them being on the footage, as moving elements will decrease the final aesthetic quality of the 3D visit.
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of my appointment?
Our 3D Camera uses state-of-the-art technology called High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR) which allows the camera to adjust to changes in lighting.
Cloudy day : Even if it’s cloudy we can make your space look beautiful! As long as there is decent interior lighting, the finished product will look just as good as a space scanned on a sunny day.
Rainy day : However, if the day is rainy, we will not be able to digitize the outdoors of the venue. If this happens in the middle of the shooting, be aware that we will be able to stop and come back later, or another day, without having to restart from the beginning.
Q: How do I post my virtual tour to social media or on my own website?
Posting a virtual tour is very simple as well. We provide you with a specific URL link which you can copy and paste, just like sharing a news article, it’s a very similar process.
We will also provide you with a HTML Code to embed the visit on you own website, like a Youtube video for example … your webmaster will for sure know how to use it.
